Roadside & Highways

Spencer ECA has been working with the Highways Agency and many of the UK’s road construction contractors for many years, providing a wide range of support services.

This has included fence erection, wildlife management, site clearance and tree survey reports in advance of highway contractors arriving on site.

Spencer also provides support services for primary contractors, such as the supply of refuelling bowsers, road sweeping, the erection of amphibian and reptile fences as well dealing with other ecological and environmental issues. Added to this, Spencer offers a plant hire service - with or without operatives.

On existing roads Spencer provides maintenance services, such as grass cutting, tree and hedgerow management and waste clearance.  The company has also been called in to make areas more attractive, with the implementation of planting, landscaping and on-going environmental care schemes.

Spencer is accredited for Highways Sector Scheme 18 for the environment and landscape, including ecology.
